Our client, a small business operation, is seeking a dependable and versatile All-Purpose Handyman to maintain all mechanical operations.
This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of various systems and facilities, including basic vehicle maintenance and mechanics, carpentry, plumbing, and masonry tasks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in these skills and be committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements.
- Conduct routine inspections of company vehicles to identify and address any mechanical issues promptly.
- Handle carpentry tasks such as repairing furniture, installing fixtures, and constructing structures as needed.
- Address plumbing issues, including repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and installing new plumbing fixtures.
- Perform masonry work, such as repairing walls, laying bricks, and patching concrete surfaces.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop and storage area for tools and equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from management and staff, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a handyman, with expertise in basic vehicle maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, and masonry.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical systems and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and clients.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor and work in various environmental conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (if required for vehicle maintenance tasks).
