Our client, an artisanal luxury fashion company, is looking for a skilled handbag maker/leather worker to join their team.

This is a unique opportunity to work with high-quality materials and contribute to the creation of luxurious handbags. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leather work and a passion for craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

Craft high-quality handbags using suede, leather, fabric, and other materials.
Perform detailed work, including lacing, braiding, carving, and hand stitching.
Cut and stitch leather using both machines and hand tools.
Ensure all products meet the company’s high standards for quality and detail.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Collaborate with the design team to develop new techniques and finishes.
Participate in a trial day to demonstrate machine and hand techniques.

Requirements:

Proven experience in leather work, particularly in handbag making.
Skilled in both machine stitching and hand techniques such as braiding, tooling, and hand sewing.
Ability to work with a variety of materials, including suede, leather, and fabric.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
Availability to work Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
Willingness to undergo a trial day to showcase skills.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
