Bio-metric Systems Integration Supervisor (2 years Contract)– Kibwezi, Makueni

Our client, a well-established plantation with operations in Kenya and Tanzania is currently seeking to recruit an . The ideal candidate will be responsible for meeting the IT needs of the company including system installations, back up, maintenance, support, and technical advice to the Management team. He/she must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT department.

Key Requirements:

  • Managing, Leading and Overseeing the IT department Team.
  • Coordinate priorities between IT department and other departments; and review adequacy and allocation of IT resources in terms of funding, personnel, equipment and Service Levels.
  • Network management-configuring LAN and troubleshooting and administrating network, network printer management, file sharing and structured cabling.
  • Setup, installing and maintaining of IP cameras for Biomass Plant and other key areas in the company to aid in security operations and configuration of remote viewing.
  • Install, Maintain, Implement, Train and Oversee the Biometric systems Integration with Payroll system for use at the company.
  • Oversee carrying out of periodic systems audit of ICT infrastructure Analyzes, designs, develops, and documents systems to meet business requirements.
  • Setting up infrastructure for access point for wide networks and point to points integrations of offices blocks.
  • Planning and monitoring software license renewals are done correctly and timely.
  • Ensuring and overseeing file back-ups on day to day are done and tested.
  • Analyses, designs, develops and document systems to meet business requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree Computer Science or any other related field.
  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience.
  • Professional information security certification.
  • Must have experience in an information security role.
  • Solid knowledge of various information security frameworks.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-moving IT landscape and keep pace with latest thinking & new security technologies.
  • A passion for technology and security safeguarding with a desire to deliver.
  • Analytical mind capable of managing numerous information sources and providing data analysis reports to.
  • Strong customer focus and able to meet the demands of internal and external customers.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable.
  • Can make decisions that are well informed and timely.
  • Creative thinking, able to look at alternatives and consider new ways of thinking to problem solve.
