Our client, the fastest growing aquaculture looking to scale from a start-up to a more structured entity and one of the largest tilapia producers in East Africa is looking to recruit a Circular Economy Manager. A successful candidate will be a highly organized and committed team player, with a passion for driving change in towards the circular economy, backed by technical understanding. The ideal candidate MUST have 7-10 years of experience working in a customer-facing environment, implementing projects across sustainability topics (e.g., circular economy, waste management, product innovation, life cycle analysis) as well as a history working as a Circular Economy Manager.
Key Requirements:
- Develop the Circularity Strategy and roadmap for Victory Farms and its expansions
- Lead Circular Economy initiatives through all stages of the product development cycle
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including acting as the point of contact for potential collaborators, customers, and the community
- Work with the local community to create awareness and support for circular economy initiatives, and create a network of out-growers
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Sustainable Agriculture, Operations Management, Supply chain, or any relevant engineering degree)
- 7-10 years of experience working in a customer-facing environment, implementing projects across sustainability topics (e.g., circular economy, waste management, product innovation, life cycle analysis)
- History of leading circular economy projects or programs either in-house or with a leading consultancy
- Experience in managing multiple teams across different functions
- Strong leadership skills to drive consensus across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
