Our client, a leading Manufacturing Company, is seeking a Customer Sales Advisor is to retain and selectively grow transactional customers.
This will be achieved through providing responsive support for all inbound sales enquiries and proactively executing outbound sales campaigns
Primary Purpose of Role:
- Handle Inbound Customer’s sales enquiries for all customer personas, routing the enquiries to the appropriate sales channel e.g., field sales, internal sales
Success means:
- Timely answer specific customer’s queries verbally or in writing – related to either price, availability, lead time, etc, qualifying the customer need prior quoting and only quoting once the requirement is known. Identify what the customer’s pain is
- Qualify and quantify the opportunities
- Provide effective redirection of customer’s queries to other members of the Sales team
- Ethically achieve Sales Growth Targets and Retention.
Success means:
- Achieve, or exceed, Sales Targets
- Reduce customer churn through routine and regular customer contact, ensuring each transactional customer is contacted at least once a year
- Pro-actively follow up all opportunities (<Kes 1m) in accordance with local
- business rules
- Execute outbound sales campaigns, managing each lead and opportunity
- through CRM e.g., replacement valves, filters, repair kits etc.
- Reactivate dormant customers
- Execute MRO-type upselling and cross-selling
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop opportunities for customer retention and upselling
- In conjunction with Sales Team, develop and deliver Call Plans to ensure all Quotations <Kes 1m are followed within 24 hours
- Manage Inbound calls and queries from customers (Sell)
- Collaborate and support Key Account Managers, Field-based Sales Engineers, Internal Sales Engineers, and Internal Sales Support to manage inbound technical and commercial enquiries
- Identify and develop opportunities for upselling
- Qualify all opportunities prior to quoting to ensure the stated needs and products sought are fit for purpose and that timing of order placement is imminent and to avoid providing “check-quotes”.
- Collaborate and support Field-based and Internal Sales Engineers to manage technical/commercially complex opportunities (such as Customer Value Propositions like Expand and Refurbish, Sustainability and Energy Saving & Process Productivity)
- Maximize MRO selling (Cross sell and upsell) for all transactional type customers.
- Execute defined outbound Sales Campaigns
- Appropriately engage other direct sales & non-direct sales channels to maximize both customer value and sales
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a technical or commercial role within manufacturing Industries
- Diploma Or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
- Ability to present themselves in a confident and professional manner & IT literate.
- Experience using a CRM and Power BI (Desirable)
- Target and goal driven, demonstrates drive to ‘get things done’
- Demonstrates empathy and listening skills
