Dispatch & Logistics Manager – Nairobi. Kenya

Our client a leading logistics company, is seeking to recruit a Dispatch and logistics manager. The qualified candidate will be responsible for handling services order, direct drivers, management of safe, efficient, handling, dispatch & distribution of products, resolve service issues any new problem that may arise. The successful candidate Must have prior working experience in the logistics sector and Must have high integrity.

Key Requirements:

  • Manage the daily scheduling of drivers and ensure delivery targets are met.
  • Communicate with drivers and customer throughout the delivery process.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Responsible for meeting on-time performance requirements.
  • Resolve transportation problems with urgency and professionalism.
  • Record and document information from drivers and distribute to appropriate departments.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by management.


  • Must have a higher diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics/supply chain/transportation function or business-related course.
  • Must have integrity with high morals and professional ethical values.
  • Must have prior working experience in the logistics sector.
  • Thorough knowledge of operations procedures & processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-driven, focused and goal oriented.
  • Must have strong computer skills & MS Office.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Able to work in a variable shift pattern with hours that may vary according to operational need.
