Our client a leading logistics company, is seeking to recruit a Dispatch and logistics manager to work remotely.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling services order, direct drivers, management of safe, efficient, handling, dispatch & distribution of products, resolving service issues or any new problem that may arise. The ideal candidate Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a dispatch and logistics manager for the logistics sector and high integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily scheduling of drivers and ensure delivery targets are met.
- Communicate with drivers and customers throughout the delivery process.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
- Responsible for meeting on-time performance requirements.
- Resolve transportation problems with urgency and professionalism.
- Record and document information from drivers and distribute it to appropriate departments.
- Develop and implement dispatch strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor driver performance and provide feedback to improve service delivery.
- Conduct regular audits of dispatch and logistics processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, providing solutions and ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in logistics/supply chain/transportation function or business-related course.
- Must have integrity with high morals and professional ethical values.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a dispatch and logistics manager for the logistics sector.
- Must have thorough knowledge of logistics operations procedures & processes.
- Demonstrated excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work under pressure while meeting strict deadlines.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be self-driven, focused and goal oriented which includes ability to work remotely.
- Able to work in a variable shift pattern with hours that may vary according to operational need.
