Our client, a leader in high-performance fertilizer products, is seeking an experienced and proactive Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to manage the maintenance, reliability, and performance of all electrical and instrumentation systems within the manufacturing plant.
The successful candidate will be in charge of optimal functionality of process controls, electrical systems, and automation infrastructure to support continuous production and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain all electrical systems, including PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and process instrumentation throughout the factory.
- Lead and oversee the preventive and predictive maintenance schedule for E&I equipment to minimize downtime.
- Ensure timely identification and resolution of electrical and control system faults during both routine operations and breakdowns.
- Collaborate closely with production and mechanical teams to enhance process control and improve energy efficiency.
- Maintain and update electrical schematics, panel drawings, and relevant documentation.
- Drive the implementation of factory automation and continuous improvement projects to boost operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, regulatory guidelines, and environmental practices.
- Manage the inventory and procurement of essential electrical and instrumentation spare parts.
- Coordinate with external contractors, equipment vendors, and auditors as necessary.
- Train, mentor, and provide guidance to junior technicians and electricians within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Familiar with instrumentation calibration, loop checks, and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Certification in industrial safety, instrumentation, or automation is an added advantage
