Our client is a leading company in the Steam industry is looking to hire a First line sales engineer manager to its existing team in Ivory Coast.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the assigned sales team, to achieve continuous sales and profit growth, Lead and coach a team of Field-based sales Engineers/ Internal Sales Engineers/ Customer Sales Advisor/ Internal sales Support and Exceed Sales target within the given area. The selected candidate will be reporting to the national sales manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a Sales Team to deliver superior Customer Value, thereby creating sustainable Success means:
- Sales Team routinely use Customer Value Propositions (CVPs) to focus time on identifying opportunities for, and delivering value to, customers
- Sales Team capable of identifying and promoting SUPERIOR VALUE (e.g., by using a hypothesis) to improve the customer’s business
- Sales Team capable of promoting solutions that enhance our QUALITY OF EARNINGS (achieving sales growth without increasing costs at the same ratio)
- Ethically achieve Sales Growth Targets by rigorously managing the Sales Team’s use of Sales Success means:
- Achieve, or exceed, Sales Targets
- Develop and lead the team though COACHING conversation
- Regularly and rigorously review the Sales Team’s OPPORTUNITY PIPELINE through COACHING conversation with the individual members of the team:
- Regularly tracks and analysis the team’s conversion rate: Upon closing each opportunity in CRM as either won or lost, recording accurately the reason for the win or loss and either the order value or best estimate of the likely order value to better understand win-loss performance
- Established practices used to produce reliable sales and sales order FORECASTS
- In response to changes in Steam Specialties input costs, ensure the sales team proactively manages customer pricing to ensure sustainable profitable growth
- Seek Self-Generated Growth opportunities and integrate these into the Team Sales Plan.
- Develop and deliver Territory, Account and Call Plans that expand priority sectors to achieve planned growth.
- Build and develop an effective Sales Team by coaching and mentoring to drive profitable sales growth through the application of consultative selling (Lead)
Key skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or Automation Engineering), Preferably
- Recognised technical or business qualification or solid evidence of experience within similar industry
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of working experience, preferably in a similar industry.
- Good communication skills
- Proven ability to generate quality leads
- Proven record of sales achievements
- Should demonstrate an excellent approach to time management
- An entrepreneurial mindset is important
