Our client, a leading provider of high-quality security solutions, including Electric Fences, Clear Guard Mesh Fence, and Gate Automation is looking for a hands on General Manager for their offices in Nairobi.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management and ensure efficient workflow across all departments, uphold company policies, and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a high-performing team, fostering continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the MD on strategic planning and company restructuring.
- Oversee workshop activities, site operations, and vehicle fleet management.
- Monitor stock levels and control systems to ensure efficient operations.
- Supervise the Operations Engineer, Supervisors, and HR functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and budget forecasts.
- Monitor stock reconciliations, creditor ledgers, and petty cash management.
- Work with the Chief Accountant to maintain compliance with accounting procedures.
- Optimize staffing levels and ensure proper job descriptions and appraisals.
- Enforce health and safety protocols and oversee tool and material management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar senior management role
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
- At least 10years of management experience.
- Strong understanding of business management, operations, and financial oversight.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of HR management best practices.
- Familiarity with compliance and quality assurance processes.
