Our client, a Technology company focused on empowering the hospitality industry within East Africa., is looking for a hands on, HR Manager for their offices in Nairobi.
The successful candidate, will play a crucial role in creating a structured environment, implementing inclusive policies and procedures, managing talent acquisition and development, initiating employee engagement and retention strategies, fostering a positive work environment, and contributing to the overall success of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the tech industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from posting job openings to onboarding new hires.
- Act as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of performance management systems.
- Facilitate regular performance reviews and feedback sessions.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and develop relevant programs.
- Coordinate and deliver training sessions to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business goals and align HR strategies accordingly.
- Advise leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development.
- Evaluate and enhance HR processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities for automation and the implementation of HR technologies.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are in compliance with legal requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an HR Specialist, preferably in the technology industry
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proficient in HRIM and other relevant HR software
- Certification in Human Resources and preferably a member of HRIM is a plus.
