Our client, a prominent organization managing well-known franchise brands in Kenya, is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee efficient stock management and streamline inventory processes.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in inventory management or a related role, with expertise in inventory control, forecasting, process improvement, and reporting. Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills are essential, along with proficiency in ERP, inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite. A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field is required, and certifications such as CPIM are a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock counts, product locations, and movement tracking.
  • Analyse sales trends and forecasting data to anticipate inventory needs and inform purchasing decisions accurately
  • Prepare regular inventory reports for management (Operation & Finance Manager), highlighting discrepancies, trends, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Identify and implement best practices for inventory management processes, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods.
  • Supervise and train any inventory staff if needed, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track stock levels, orders, and deliveries efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as company policies regarding inventory management.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in inventory management or a related role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in inventory management is a plus.
