Marketing Coordinator – Nairobi, Kenya

Our client, a leading IT and Cybersecurity consulting company in Texas is seeking to recruit a highly creative Marketing Coordinator.

The company supports Small to medium business by providing strategic IT services. The successful candidate will contribute to existing programs while assisting in the development of new initiatives aligned with company and client goals. They will have experience in a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital, and social media. The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years’ experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all marketing efforts serve immediate and long-term business goals by identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation.
  • Build knowledge and education regularly through workshops, research, and seminars, and share best practices and local marketing tactics with team members.
  • Conduct research on market trends, customer behavior, and competitor landscape, and prepare reports by analyzing and summarizing data.
  • Support the marketing director in establishing and evaluating marketing strategy by assembling sales forecasts, setting objectives, organizing promotional presentations, and updating calendars.
  • Communicate campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to the sales team, and provide instructions for usage and promotion.
  • Plan meetings, events, conferences, and trade shows by identifying requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating mailing lists.
  • Maintain an inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials when necessary.
  • Curate Internal & External Newsletters in accordance with the Campaign Objectives.
  • Assist with the Partner Management process with OEMs.

Qualifications

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field.
  • Must be a member of a relevant professional body.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience.
  • Proven work experience as a Marketing Coordinator, Marketing Officer, Marketing Associate, or similar role.
  • Experience working with Advertising and Marketing Agencies to churn out successful campaigns.
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools including graphic design such as: Canva, Adobe.
  • Proficiency with online marketing and social media strategy
  • Experience with research and advertising methods using data analytics software such as Google Analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Solutions & Meta Ads.
  • Expertise with SEO/SEM campaigns & Tools such as SEMrush, Page Speed Insights & knowledge on WordPress.
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, web analytics, and Google AdWords.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Content Management System (CMS) software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Has a strong service ethic.
  • Comfortable working in GMT-5 hours
