Our client is seeking a highly skilled highly skilled M&V Officer to join the ERP Office at BEST Energy Kenya.

This role is critical in overseeing the successful implementation of energy and sustainability projects, including our proprietary software, with new and existing clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, adaptability, and a results-driven mindset to deliver high-impact energy solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to identify and achieve their Keys to Success for each project.
  • Manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment.
  • Apply M&V methodologies to manage project phases from initiation to closeout.
  • Take full ownership of project outcomes, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Influence and coordinate both internal teams and client stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, delivering updates on progress, challenges, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Configure BEST Energy’s software solutions and energy tools as per client-specific requirements.
  • Work closely with technical teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Identify and mitigate risks proactively, ensuring successful project completion.
  • Provide hands-on training for clients through onsite and online sessions to maximise software adoption.
  • Maintain strong communication with project teams, both locally and remotely.
  • Ensure a seamless handover to the Customer Success Team at the conclusion of each project.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (required).
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, including formulas for data analysis (required).
  • 2-4 years of project management experience, preferably in enterprise software implementations or energy-related projects (required).
  • Strong familiarity with energy management systems, sustainability software, or utility bill management tools.
  • PMP certification or equivalent (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve project challenges effectively.
  • Core Statistical skills experience – Regression Analysis, Time-Series Analysis, Data Normalisation, Variance Analysis, Outlier Detection and Data Visualisation.
