Our client a renowned hospital in Kisumu is seeking to hire a Nursing Director who will be responsible for responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the nursing department.
This role focuses on maintaining regulatory compliance, coordinating staff duties, upholding high standards of patient care, and fostering a positive work environment.. The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience as a nursing director or similar position.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to nursing practices.
- Manage inventory of nursing supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate levels for patient care.
- Coordinate and delegate duties among nursing staff to optimize efficiency and patient care delivery.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff.
- Recommend promotions and professional development opportunities based on performance assessments.
- Implement and monitor standards and quality control measures to enhance patient care outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans and improve care delivery.
- Foster a supportive and collaborative work environment among nursing staff.
- Stay updated on healthcare trends and regulatory changes affecting nursing practices.
- Participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes for the nursing department.
Qualifications
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
- Must have 5+ years of experience as a nursing director or similar position.
- Background nursing experience.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory standards in healthcare.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
