Passionate Sales Manager for a Lodge in the Masai Mara

Our client, a Lodge in Masai Mara, is looking for a highly experienced, result-oriented and passionate Sales Manager to join their Sales team. The role entails selling, approaching potential customers with the aim of winning new business, building a functional and effective sales department and ensure business profitability by ensuring customer satisfaction. A documented history of attaining or exceeding sales targets is essential. One additional foreign language (French, Spanish, German) is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base
  • Create a fully functional and vibrant sales department
  • Managing a portfolio of accounts (existing & new) to achieve revenue targets
  • Developing positive relationships and handling customers’ needs
  • Generating new sales through existing and potential customer networks
  • Engage bookers/representatives to ensure sales increase and revenue growth
  • Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
  • Monitor sales metrics (Monthly& quarterly) sales results and annual forecasts
  • Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing. Candidates with adequate experience and holding a Diploma in Sales & Marketing will be considered
  • 5-7 years experience as a Sales Executive, Sales Manager or Sales & Marketing Manager
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry, understanding the complexities of business & customer needs
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close and to create tour/travel packages
  • Ability to create digital marketing strategies to improve sales
  • Excellent communication skills as well as negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent MS office skills
