Procurement & Logistics Manager (NGO) – Nairobi, Kenya

Our client, an international NGO that provides high quality sexual & reproductive health services and is heavily involved with advocacy to create an enabling environment for safe access for all is looking to recruit a Procurement & Logistics Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic procurement and supply chain management and leadership, ensuring appropriate systems, procedures and controls are in place and fully implemented as an integral part of all staff responsibilities to support the continued growth of the country program. The ideal candidate MUST have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar position; at least 5 years in senior management role.

  • Developing relationship with the suppliers and ensuring there is a mutual cooperation and understanding on the key terms and responsibilities form both parties.

 Qualifications:

  • MUST have a Bachelor’s degree in a business-related course, A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
  • MUST be a certified and active member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar position at senior management level, with ideally both NGO and private sector.
  • Must have proficient knowledge in procurement and supply chain operations.
  • Proficient knowledge in computerized procurement system.
  • Experience with procurement processes across the supply chain and procurement processes well as strong experience related to inventory systems.
  • Excellent leadership skills and team building skills.
  • Well-developed accounting skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including the ability to operate and manage computerized procurement spreadsheet and word processing programs.
