Our client, a well-established Construction company with its headquarters based in Male, Maldives is searching for a motivated individual to join their team as a Project Manager. As the Project Manager you will have overall responsibility for the successful conclusion of their construction projects. He/ She will also plan, direct, manage and provide oversight of assigned design and construction projects to ensure that company goals and objectives are accomplished. The ideal candidate must have over 7 years of experience in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Manage day-to-day project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to facilitate effective communication and project coordination.
  • Utilize strong knowledge of Quantity Surveyor principles to assess project costs, analyze budgets, and provide cost-effective solutions.
  • Oversee Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with project specifications.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, implementing proactive strategies to address challenges and maintain project momentum.
  • Foster positive client relationships by providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and reports, to support effective project management and compliance.
  • Monitor project timelines, identifying potential delays, and implementing corrective measures to ensure timely project completion.
  • Direct and Monitor project personnel to keep the construction project running smoothly and within budget without compromising safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors. Evaluate project teams and ensure timely delivery of targets.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

  Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering or relevant degree.
  • Minimum 7 years of proven experience as an Assistant Project Manager in the construction industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and client interaction.
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address challenges during the project lifecycle.
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure projects comply with relevant standards.
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Excellent time and project management skills
