Our client, a locally and internationally acclaimed Architect firm is looking for for its offices in Nairobi. The successful candidate will handle the project lifecycle, focusing on project oversight, procurement, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and successful project delivery. Experience working with an international team is a MUST!
Job Duties:
- Develop a standardized design deliverables report template.
- Review and manage supply chain appointments, identifying gaps and initiating further procurement if necessary.
- Establish a project and governance structure to support the project’s execution.
- Implement governance procedures developed during pre-construction phases.
- Implement relevant reporting procedures for effective project monitoring and communication.
- Issue meeting schedules and communication protocols to ensure efficient collaboration.
- Report supply chain performance to the client as required.
- Establish a program schedule for proper contract scope control.
- Manage and oversee all subcontractors working under the client.
- Monitor program-related risks and implement necessary project scope adjustments.
- Report any variances in initial cost plans or supply chains to the client.
- Manage and oversee the procurement process as per client requirements and regulatory standards.
- Assist the client in managing stakeholders’ input and expectations to prevent delays or disputes.
- Plan commissioning activities and integrate them into the master schedule.
- Assist in developing a handover strategy and checklist for seamless transitions and completion.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- At least 5 years working experience working as a Project Manager
- Experience in the Construction sector
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience with project management software tools
- Conversant with contracting.
- Proven experience working with a team of Architects.
