Our client a safari tour operator offering wildlife experiences across East Africa is seeking to recruit a skilled Safari Driver with a strong mechanical proficiency.

The ideal candidate must have a TSV (Tourist Service Vehicle) license and at least five years experience navigating challenging safari terrains such as Maasai Mara, Amboseli, and other remote wilderness areas.

Qualifications

  • Preferred candidate will have a Valid TSV license.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience as a driver in the safari industry.
  • Must be proficient in vehicle maintenance and repair, particularly in remote safari environments.
  • Excellent knowledge of safari destinations and the ability to navigate diverse terrains safely.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable personality.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport vehicle, staff and equipment on safari excursions, ensuring reliability and integrity.
  • Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and routine maintenance to ensure the safety and reliability of safari vehicles.
  • Provide mechanical assistance and repairs in the field, addressing any vehicle issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Navigate safari routes with precision, prioritizing the safety and comfort of staff and
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of safari vehicles, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Collaborate with safari guides and other staff to coordinate logistics and optimize guest satisfaction.
