Our client, a leading international automotive company, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to lead their automotive sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion. As a key member of the executive team, he/she will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the company’s sales efforts.

Key Responsibilties

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives, with a primary focus on revenue growth and market share expansion
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performance sales team, setting clear goals and providing ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure success
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key automotive industry clients, dealerships, and partners to drive business growth and customer satisfaction
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and threats. Use this information to adapt sales strategies
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and reports to inform budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of our automotive products and services to effectively communicate their value to customers and tailor sales pitches to specific needs
  • Oversee the sales budget, ensuring responsible resource allocation and efficient cost control
  • Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of the sales team and make data-driven improvements
  • Work closely with other departments, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience and alignment with company objectives

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Proven track record of success in automotive sales, with at least 10 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive industry, market trends, and competitive landscape
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a high-performing sales team
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Data-driven decision-making and proficiency in using sales and CRM software
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
  • Willingness to travel as required
