Our client, a prominent medical equipment supplier based in Nairobi, is seeking to hire a Sales Manager (Medical Equipment).
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing sales activities, managing a team of medical representatives, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. The ideal candidate Must have a degree in medicine or a related field and must have a Minimum of 5 years of field sales experience in the medical equipment industry.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Present and sell the company’s medical equipment products and services to current and potential clients.
- Monitor and manage the performance of medical representatives, ensuring their presence and accountability in the market.
- Conduct weekly sales meetings to evaluate, assist, and monitor representatives’ market presence and performance.
- Review and analyze weekly sales reports to ensure that accounts receive adequate attention and that sales strategies are properly executed.
- Lead and mentor the sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve company objectives.
- Oversee sales administration tasks, including tracking quotes/tenders, assisting in account collections, and managing reports and expenses.
- Participate in tender submissions, including conducting price research and managing orders once tenders are awarded.
- Manage logistics and supply chain processes, ensuring compliance with regional customs and licensing requirements.
Requirements:
- Must have a degree in medicine or a related field.
- Proven track record of performance in sales and leadership.
- Strong attention to detail in sales administration and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to meet steep targets and ensure the sales team achieves the same.
- Strong self-drive, commercial awareness, and ability to identify and establish new business opportunities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain detailed records and prepare regular marketing reports.
- High level of integrity and accountability, with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
