Our Client, a leading distributor of Specialty Chemicals, is looking for Techno Commercial Executive, to expand into the East African Market with their unique raw material portfolio and using their Home & Personal Care Lab, in Nairobi, for demonstration and product development. The ideal candidate should have R&D experience in cosmetics & homecare products and hands-on experience in making Home Care Products and Cosmetics. He/She will be skilled enough to use the equipment in the Lab. The ideal candidate MUST have 6-7 years of experience working in a similar position.
Key Requirements:
- To be able to demonstrate to the customers the efficacy of the Raw Material (of interest), through end product development.
- Ensure and improve department performance, productivity efficiency and profitability.
- Organize and monitor external quality assessment (proficiency testing)..
- Identify sources of variability and demonstrate to be under control.
- Ensure test and sample integrity.
- Maximize profitability, growing the portfolio and achieving budgetary objectives by calling on all accounts and potential accounts as nominated.
- Introduce new product ranges, concepts and applications to the market.
- Give technical assistance to customers and colleagues.
- Construct a business plan which will include strategies and sales forecasts for annual budgets.
- Customer reporting monthly.
- Update reports on CRM system on a weekly basis.
- Assist in co-coordinating sales of product and ordering of stock on a national basis.
- Maintain customer databases on all allocated customers.
- Stock Management and Debtor Management.
- Obtain information relating to specific market surveys.
Qualifications:
- Relevant bachelor’s degree, Masters in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry
- Outstanding team motivation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skill
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Experience in developing Home & Personal Care products at Laboratory or floor level.
