Sue incorporated Summit Recruitment & Search Africa in 2005. Prior to starting the company, Sue was VP Asia Pacific for a tech organization, offering online booking solutions to hotels. Sue holds a BA (Hons) in English & Spanish, and a Post-graduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. In addition, she is a certified practitioner of Myers- Briggs (MBTI) psychometric profiling, Hogan’s, Lumina Select and OPQ32 (Occupational Personality Questionnaire). She is very passionate about Psychometric tools, believing that it is an integral part of interviews, helping identify a candidate’s personality and cognitive attributes and how well they would fit into an organization’s culture.

To relax, Sue can be found on ski slopes, playing tennis, cooking or reading.

Lena joined Summit Recruitment & Search Africa in 2012 and is Head Of Talent, specializing in Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy, Manufacturing, IT/Tech, Non-Profit organizations and Hospitality. Swedish by birth, brought up in Spain and having lived in Portugal, France, Italy, UK and the Caribbean, she is fluent in 6 languages. As a result, Lena handles the French and Portuguese speaking countries in Africa, in addition to the East Africa regions. She holds Diplomas from Switzerland (Hospitality), Sweden and USA (Marketing).  Before joining Summit, Lena worked in International Hotel chains such as Belmond, InterContinental & Radisson.

Lena is a fully certified practitioner in Lumina Select, the preferred psychometric tool used by Summit.

Lena loves travelling, visiting the gym and dancing into the small hours!

Kate joined Summit Recruitment & Search Africa in 2013 and is Head Of Talent within the Agri, Finance, Insurance, Manufacturing and Legal business sectors, working predominantly on C- Suite and Senior assignments.  Kate holds a BSc (Hons) in Commerce with a major in accounting and completed Part 3 CPA (K) and also holds a Higher Diploma in Human Resource from the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).

Kate is a fully certified practitioner in Lumina Select, the preferred psychometric tool used by Summit.

She is an avid football fan of Manchester United and doesn’t miss a game! Kate also loves to travel and would love to visit Antigua and Barbados.

Nerea is an accomplished, professional Senior Recruiter specializing in Finance, Agri, Automotive, Shipping and Logistics/Procurement sectors. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Public Relations, complemented by a certificate in International Relations. Nerea has a passion for connecting with others and is known for her enthusiastic approach to life. Nerea’s favourite motto, “Carpe Diem,” reflects her belief in seizing the moment and making the most out of every opportunity. She has built extensive connections in her business sectors across the African continent, enhancing her ability to navigate and excel in her professional endeavours.

Outside of her work commitments, Nerea channels her curiosity into researching and exploring the wonders of space, particularly planets and galaxies.

Phelestus joined Summit Recruitment & Search Africa just before the Covid pandemic. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and completed her CPA (K). Tus, as she likes to be called, handles all the finances for the company, as well as undertaking middle management roles in accounting or finance. With an eye for detail, Tus undertakes all salary bench-marking assignments for clients, completes RFP’s and handles outsourced payroll for clients.

When she is not crunching numbers, you can find Phelestus dancing in a concert to loud music!

Lemi joined Summit Recruitment & Search Africa in 2021 as a Recruitment Consultant. He holds a BSc. in Computer Security and Forensics and with this extensive tech knowledge, he specializes in technology and telecoms business sectors. In addition to these sectors he also specializes in assignments for Non-Profit, Energy and Engineering/construction organizations.

In his spare time, you will find Lemi researching about cars and advancements in the automotive and gaming industry.

Jonathan is based in the DRC and has a Bachelor’s degree in IT. He has gained valuable experience across West Africa over the years, working for a variety of companies. As a seasoned Senior Recruiter, he now specialises in Mines, FMCG, Telecom, Logistics/Procurement and ICT sectors.

Jonathan’s biggest passion is to match exceptional candidates with Top-tier companies throughout West Africa.

In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys reading books on management and business development, or spending time with his family and watching soccer.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Public Relations, Gita understands the power of storytelling and crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. Her working life has included running her own business, overseeing a Bee Farm, marketing and sales, the experiences of which she has brought to Summit Recruitment & Search Africa.

Film production, theatre arts, painting and creative writing fuel her insatiable desire to weave narratives that inspire and entertain. This artistic flair spills over into her social media content, where she brings a unique spark to engaging online communities. Not surprisingly, Gita specializes in Media, PR and Sales and Marketing roles across a variety of industries.

When Gita has spare time, she tackles DIY projects, showcasing her resourcefulness and ability to bring ideas to life. She also loves reading books and all theatrical arts.

Fiona has a Bachelor’s degree in Ecotourism, Hotel, and Institution Management with IT. She has had extensive experience working in customer service, hospitality and insurance and brings her interpersonal skills and robust people management knowledge to Summit Recruitment & Search Africa. Fiona’s Recruitment assignments tend to be in the Insurance, Education, Hospitality and Eco-tourism sectors, particularly management roles.

Combining passion for the environment with tourism expertise, she loves nothing better than hiking and travelling to new places or watching Nat Geo. Whilst on her travels, Fiona enjoys photography and capturing stunning landscapes and vibrant cultures.

 

Fiona loves ‘all things sweet’. Her unique “dessert safari” hobby is a must in celebrating local flavors!

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in business IT, Darren’s combined background enabled him to gain considerable experience in the Digital Marketing arena, which ignited a strong passion within him. Since 2022, he has been actively expanding his skills in social media management, SEO/SEM, and content management systems.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Darren enjoys gaming in his free time and attending EDM concerts. He is also a huge lover of chapatis and proudly supports Arsenal Football Club. He remains optimistic that one day Arsenal will emerge victorious in the English Premier League.

Cynthia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Sociology, which reflects her fascination with society and economic systems. She is driven by a desire to make a positive impact through societal and anthropological research.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Cynthia has gained invaluable experience over the years in customer service dealing in the renewable energy, healthcare and insurance sectors.

In her spare time, Cynthia enjoys hiking, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Prior to joining Summit Recruitment and Search Africa, Josh worked for a Senior Executive from BAT, drove a variety of buses and even matatus! Josh spends most of his day delivering and collecting important documents. There isn’t a part of East Africa that he hasn’t visited and there isn’t a large vehicle he hasn’t driven!

In his spare time (which is very little!), he can be found with his family and friends.
