Accounts Assistant (Maternity Reliever) – Nairobi, Kenya

Our client, an NGO based in Nairobi, Kenya is seeking to hire an . He/She will be responsible for preparing invoices, bank reconciliations, financial reports and budget preparation. The successful candidate Must have a valid good conduct certificate obtained within the last 6 months and Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, at least CPA II and over 3 years in finance with extensive financial analysis, accounts payable, taxation and invoicing experience.

Key Requirements:

  • Preparing Invoices and check them, reconciling supplier statements and preparing daily/weekly BACS.
  • Review and process expense against company policy and flagging non-compliance.
  • Manage and resolve both internal and external queries on invoices, supplier statements, expenses and payments.
  • Maintain the company purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and post accounting journals and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Production of financial reports (both internal and external).
  • Assist with budget preparation and year-end audit.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and at least CPA II.
  • Must have a valid good conduct certificate obtained within the last 6 months.
  • Must have over 3 years in finance with extensive financial analysis, accounts payable, taxation and invoicing experience.
  • Must have knowledge of taxation laws of the country.
  • High professional integrity and organizational skills.
