Our client, one of the worldwide market leaders in the flower and plant industry, is looking for a hands on for its office in Nairobi. The successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be to ensure that all business operations have a financially sound evaluation and control perspective – and will develop appropriate reporting parameters, including regular assessments of KPIs, efficiency and costs. Being conversant with AX Dynamics is an added advantage.
Key Requirements:
- Developing effective data analysis of Company operations and services
- Leading the financial evaluation of any new projects and developments being developed within the business
- Budget preparation and forecasting including monthly reviews
- Preparing sales analyses
- Timely and accurate reporting to local and Head office in Europe
- Daily management of the Finance team
- Actively contributing to contractual and legal issues
Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelor/Master’s degree Business/Finance Control
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Business/Finance controller in a production company
- Experience with international business, preferably with Eastern Africa exposure
- Experience with managing a (small) finance team
- Proficient in using ERP-systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX, MS Office, Power-BI
- Excellent analytical and time management skills
- An effective communicator at all levels, from production floor to group management
- Capable of translating data / business information in to-the-point analysis and reports and able to clearly explain the story behind the figures to all stakeholders
- Management skills, that on the one hand will focus on ensuring the Company’s internal department work efficiently together, developing the Team and on the other hand at good cooperation with the head office in Europe
