Our client, a dynamic Software Company specializing in providing its own branded vehicle tracking software, is looking to recruit a . The successful candidate will be responsible for developing highly performant code that is rock solid with a focus on data ingestion from GPS-enabled IOT devices while maintaining high performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Writing highly efficient code using some of the latest technologies and cloud services.
- Solving interesting engineering problems in a distributed architecture. Solid understanding of open-source development and customization
- Collaborating with fellow developers and teams via code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions.
- Providing guidance on architecture and creating technical specifications.
- Reviewing architecture and technical designs.
- Identifying and implementing software development process improvements.
- Working directly with IOT hardware and two-way communications.
- Integrating/creating APIs.
- Performing disaster simulations and ensuring services continue to run.
Qualifications:
- Must have an industry relevant bachelor’s degree
- Must have at least 4 years of experience developing backend systems with C#
- Must understand the network stack and how TCP and UDP operates.
- Experience working with APIs/IOT devices in the past.
- Knowledge of garbage collection and how to optimize code to reduce GC pressure.
- Experience working with at least one of the following: distributed architecture, message queue system, microservices or SOA.
- Comfortable writing SQL queries.
- LINQ and Entity Framework experience.
- In-depth knowledge of C# .NET Core.
- Experience measuring code performance and writing unit tests.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
