Our client, a dynamic Agri-Trade research and brokerage tech enabled platform that specializes in retail and commodities trade is looking to recruit a to be based in Nairobi, Kenya. The successful candidate will be involved in business development which primarily include the acquisition of new international customers. Experience in the IT industry is a MUST.
Key Requirements:
- Responsible for driving subscription sales for our Commodities technology platform
- Developing sales strategies
- Mapping target clients and identifying more target clients
- Developing and maintaining client relationships and assisting with payments and contracts
- Working and managing junior members of the sales team
- Delivering presentations and demonstrations to prospective and current clientsSet marketing targets for staff in the department and assess their performance to ensure targets are achieved.
- Steer market research and intelligence, and conceptualize our products for the market
- Potentially considering new markets or clients to contact, based on your knowledge of both the products/services and their users.
- Ensure smooth implementation of strategic partnership & distribution of partner products
- Steer the organization’s product diversification initiatives and launch new products in liaison with other departments to meet market demand.
- Coordinate and deliver promotion support for existing and new products within budget and liaise with promotion agencies.
- Establish and maintain good corporate relations and implement a PR and customer care management programs.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a relevant bachelor’s degree
- Must have prior experience within a tech start up and at least 10 years of experience in sales
- Ideally international sales experience dealing with target clients overseas
- Sales experience dealing with C-Suite individuals is crucial
- Technology Subscription sales are also a major plus.
- Possess strong problem-solving and prioritization skills
- Should have strong communication and presentation skills
- Should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and are adept at working with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to research and keep on top of industry developments.
