Our client, a hotel based in Juba, is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager to take full responsibility for accounting, reporting, controls, treasury, and compliance.
The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare weekly KPI and cash reports, and full monthly accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, variances, and commentary).
- Set up and enforce strong internal controls for cash, banking, POS, inventory, procurement, receivables, and payables with clear approvals.
- Handle daily cashbook and bank reconciliations; manage working capital, collections, supplier payments, and cash reserves.
- File all statutory returns on time and keep compliance records up to date.
- Oversee room and F&B revenue, POS accuracy, discounts, and menu margin reviews.
- Run monthly payroll, handle statutory deductions, issue payslips, and support HR with records and compliance.
- Work with the GM on pricing, supplier deals, and reports for Nairobi head office.
- Maintain emergency stock and cash plans suited for Juba and support finance aspects of security and business continuity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/ACCA preferred.
- 3+ years’ finance management experience, ideally in hospitality, FMCG, or multi-site operations in East/Central Africa.
- Strong Excel and ERP skills; POS experience a plus.
- Proven experience in month-end close, management accounts, and audits.
- Detail-oriented, practical, and hands-on leader with strong communication and teamwork skills.
