Our client, a group of affiliated agribusiness startups engaged in crop and livestock production, processing, and trade, and based in Central Uganda, is seeking to recruit a Financial Analyst.
The successful candidate will play a key role in operational and financial modeling, in-depth analysis, and strategic planning across the group’s portfolio of companies. This is a pivotal position supporting data-driven decision-making and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed models to evaluate and optimize operational processes and financial outcomes.
- In consultation with the CEO, COO, and relevant team members, analyze models to influence operational strategy and decision-making.
- Integrate operational outcomes into financial models for insightful budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
- Model and analyze new business/investment opportunities to advise on feasibility and investment worthiness.
- Summarize analyses into actionable reports and presentations for leadership.
- Develop process maps, workflows, and data models to document and propose improvements to operational and financial systems
- Work closely with the operational, production, and finance teams to gather inputs and validate modeling assumptions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPU Finalist /ACCA Finalist or CFA
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Advanced fluency in Excel and/or Google Sheets is required.
- Strong background in operational and financial modeling.
- Prove ability to create detailed operational and financial models.
- Excellent numerical analysis, critical thinking, and data visualization skills.
- A creative thinker who understands the relationship between operational activities and financial outcomes.
- A self-starter who can independently manage projects with strategic guidance.
