Our client, a leading multinational company producing fast-moving consumer goods such as hygiene products, tissue and home care products is looking for . The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and coordinating full import and export cycle, negotiating with service providers, keep track of transportation and costs, resolve arising complaints, ensuring compliance, access performance and implement improvements. The ideal candidate MUST have a relevant bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of experience. He/She MUST have worked in Manufacturing and preferably in the FMCG sector using SAP.
Key Requirements:
- Strategically plan and manage logistics, imports, exports and customs clearance operations.
- Liaise and negotiate for better rates with Service providers, Shipping lines and Freight Forwarders.
- Evaluate budgets and expenditures.
- Direct, optimize and coordinate full Import and Export cycle.
- Keep track of quality, quantity, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
- Resolve any arising complaints related to import or export operations.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
- Research ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
- Follow and ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy, procedures and rules.
Qualifications:
- Must have a relevant bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or any other related field.
- Must have 10 years and above working experience in a similar role.
- Must be Proficient in SAP & Excel.
- Must have good geographical knowledge.
- Ability to handle multiple projects.
