Our client a fast-growing textile manufacturing company is seeking to hire an with an FMCG background. He/She will be responsible for managing and coordinating the various departments involved in manufacturing handloom textiles, including the textile department, furniture department, and sewing department. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ work experience as an operations Manager in the manufacturing sector preferably textile and Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality management systems.
Key Requirements:
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of the textile department, furniture department, and sewing department to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Monitor and manage the production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Collaborate with department supervisors to optimize workflow, resolve operational issues, and implement process improvements.
- Establish and maintain performance metrics, regularly tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Develop production plans and schedules, considering customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure availability of raw materials and components for production.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the manufacturing teams, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, train, and develop employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments such as sales, marketing, logistics and directors to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of operations.
Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in business management.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ work experience as an operations Manager in the manufacturing sector preferably textile.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality management systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate employees.
- Sound understanding of operational metrics and KPIs, with a track record of driving operational excellence.
