Our client, an International School based in Tanzania is looking to recruit an Teacher. The ideal candidate must have experience with Cambridge Curriculum and guidelines, teaching year 6 students in all subjects and undertaking the Cambridge Checkpoints. The candidate must be open minded, creative, warm, patient, flexible, good with children and genuinely caring for children. He/She will be responsible for assessing pupils and advising on level of support, communicating with parents concerning what could hamper academic success as well as participating and contributing to the school’s programmes and activities.
Key Requirements:
- Assessing students where appropriate and advise on level of support needed.
- Assessing student progress continuously using a variety of methods and regularly keeping records of the progress.
- Communicating with parents on concern that could hamper academic success.
- School requirements for record keeping and assessment are completed punctually.
- Monitoring the well-being of each student and recording any significant information commitment to reflection and improvement of personal practice
- Participate in the teacher’s evaluation, peer observation programmes as well as inhouse development training, meetings external courses and conferences.
- Ensure lessons are suitably differentiated for different ability and learning skills and lessons are enjoyable and relevant to the pupils.
- Ensure the classroom is organized stimulating and attractive as well as promote intercultural understanding.
- Maintain cooperative, supportive professional relationship with teachers’, parents and students.
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Education
- Must be registered by TSC.
- Must have at least 4 years teaching experience.
- Must have experience teaching Cambridge curriculum and course guidelines.
- Must have experience undertaking the Cambridge Checkpoints.
- Be a patient, committed and holistic educator.
- Be understanding, patient and efficient.
- Possess strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Must be willing to relocate to Tanzania.
