A Dutch startup has teamed up
with Google Glass to create a set of AI-powered spectacles that help blind and
visually-impaired people to see.
China is developing an
earthquake prediction system that uses AI to measure seismic activity in one of
the world’s most quake-prone countries. The system developed by the University
of Science and Technology of China and the China Earthquake Administration
analyzes vast volumes of seismic data to automatically predict impending
earthquakes.
Renowned Japanese technology
companies, Toshiba and Toyota as well as a Turkish company have secured a
geothermal project deal from the Government of Ethiopia. Toshiba Energy Systems
& Solutions Corporation announced that the company, Toyota Tsusho
Corporation and Turkish engineering company and Egesim Energy Electro-Mechanic
Construction have received an order of engineering, procurement and
construction for Aluto Langano Geothermal Wellhead Power System in central
Ethiopia.
